I told the kids, we would probably just focus on the Jessup people, the ones in Laurel have places where they can get food.
So we set off and it was pouring the entire way to our first stop. I was wondering how we were going to pull this trip off. You see, it has NEVER rained on a Thursday that we have done a delivery, NEVER. I wondered if we should go at all. I guessed the homeless people just stay in the tents and us showing up would be a bother.
By the time we got to Rt 175 only about a mile from Rt 1, the rain had stopped. In fact, it never had even rained right there! We pulled over to our usual spot and prayed to God.
We ended up doing the entire delivery without a single drop of water!! The sun was out and it was even a little on the warm side!! God spoke.
To top that all, one of the homeless people we see ended up spouting scriptures from Psalms to us as he was remembering his days when he was a youth in church. For this person, that was very unusual. God spoke again.
So, what did He say to me? Just do what I tell you and have faith, I will take care of everything.
God is good.
